Victoria Salerno

Victoria graduated with BA (Hons) French from The University of Warwick and later obtained her CELTA (Certificate of Language Teaching to Adults) qualification in 2013 in Oxford.

She has worked as a teacher, summer camp activity manager and a ski instructor, and has taught online and in the UK at private adult language schools and children’s summer camps.

Victoria is a native English speaker who also speaks French, Spanish and (a little!) Swiss German.

In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, painting and cooking.

I look forward to helping you achieve your language learning goals.

My teaching style:

I want all my students to be confident and enjoy speaking another language. I will correct your mistakes, improve your fluency, develop your vocabulary range and help you with pronunciation. I am a very patient and encouraging teacher.

Learning a language should be fun so I always do my best to make the lessons enjoyable as well as useful. Together, we will work hard to make sure you learn as much as possible.

What I teach:

I specialise in developing English and French conversational skills through role play scenarios.

How I can help you:

All lessons will be focused on developing speaking and listening skills and improving pronunciation. However, I will also help you improve your vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing.

Equipment and resources I use:

Online lessons will be conducted via Zoom. You will need access to a smartphone, tablet or computer with headphones. As well as creating my own materials for our lessons, I also supplement by using flash cards, coursebooks, worksheets and websites.
